Perfect Game baseball tournament continues at PCB Sports Complex

Perfect Game baseball is back at the PCB Sports Complex with over 100 teams from all across the country.

This was the first tournament, since the pandemic, that Panama City Beach's very own Next Level Baseball team had the opportunity to compete, and with the majority of the spring baseball season being cancelled, these players say tournaments like these are more crucial than ever.

“It's just important to start playing well early because nobody has played in a couple months. It's just important for the rest of the players senior year because we want to make it count. It's the last one before you go off, so I just want to play as good as I can,” said Next Level Baseball pitcher and Notre Dame Commit, Jaden Rude.

“This is really important especially for some of these rising seniors who haven't had the opportunity to get some of the exposure. These college scouts are still on lockdown since about September if memory serves correctly. It's really important for these guys to get out here, get back into the routine, and get seen by some scouts so they can continue their baseball career,” said Next Level Baseball parent, Chris Hudson.

The NBL team made it to the championship game, but due to a weather delay at the bottom of the second, both teams decided not to finish.
